Preservation Workshops will be offered 9:30- 11:30 am on the first Wednesday of each month. Opportunities for Internship with VOM archives and displays to follow. Program is free but donations accepted.

Becoming and Being a Tucson Historic Landmark
Historic Frank and Rose's Adobe House, Valley of the Moon 2544 E Allen Road, Tucson 85716
Description:Valley of the Moon is Tucson's newest historic landmark. Historic Landmark status is both an honor and an obligation. Jenni Sunshine will explain this program and thow Valley of the Moon became a Historic Landmark. The ongoing role of city zoning and Historic Preservation Commission will be featured.. Presentation is free but voluntary donation for our preservation work appreciated. (HALS presentation rescheduled to November)

Rehabilitation of the Historic Frank and Rose's Adobe House
Hear tales of the preservation challenges overcome to save this building directly from the adobe expert who guided the project, David Yubeta, and Jenni Sunshine. Presentation is free but voluntary donation for our preservation work appreciated. Registration is encouraged and will guarantee you a spot: email Sunny Herndon, Education DIrector, with "RSVP" in the title to [email protected]

Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS)
Discover how significant historic landscapes are identified and documented. Historic preservationists Susan Bierer and Jaime Luria will discuss their HALS submission on Valley of the Moon. Following the formal presentation, there will be an opportunity to stroll through the landscape with the researchers.. Presentation is free but voluntary donation for our preservation work appreciated.
