People on the Moon (POM) is a merit badge club serving children ages 8-12 and their families. Based on the pillars of Service, Creativity and Community Building, POM offers a safe and respectful space for all children, including trans, non-binary and gender fluid kids and their allies to be themselves.
What you can expect: This club does not promote any particular gender identity or expression but welcomes all. It does insist that all be treated with kindness, which includes the expectation that everyone involved treat each other with respect. Volunteers are vetted with these principles in mind. Parents will be invited to our coffee klatch during club meetings.
This club meets once a month and includes off-site field trips. Parents must complete an application to be accepted.
